You can make this DIY simple bridge to decorate your fairy garden. This model bridge can also be used as the reference if you have to make some school project. You can adjust the length of the bridge according to the length of the space provided in your fairy garden project.
Step 1. Prepare the tools and materials. Before starting this project, it is better if you prepare the supplies below:
- Scotch tape
- Popsicle sticks
- Sand paper
- Box cutter
Step 2. Create the pylons
For each pylon, you need to make it from 12 popsicles. You need to create two I beams and two L beams. After you make them all, you have to combine all of them altogether. So you will have the final product as seen from the picture.
Step 3. Make the Bridge Deck
You need to make the deck from the sized cardboard. You need to measure the cardboard so that it can fit for two decks. You can adjust the sizes of the decks according to the length of the bridge. Make sure to cut the cardboard and then make some holes for the strings or cables.
Step 4. Insert the Strings onto the Cardboard Decks
The strength of the string depends on the distance of each pylon, the bridge length, and also the height of the decks. You can make some adjustments on the length of the bridge as well as the height of the decks. Just make sure that the bridge will look more real and realistic.
Once the decks are ready, you need to punch some holes on each side for the strings to go through. If you have 5 suspenders on each deck side, it means you need to make 4 holes each.
Step 5. Combine All Parts of the Bridge Altogether
After you combine all the parts of the bridge, you will see the final product as seen from the picture. You can make some necessary adjustment on it. Remember that this is an open project so that you can make any changes on the design.
