Several herbs are actually very easy to grow and maintain. Some of them are even possible to grow indoors. If you don’t have much space back there and want to smell the herbs indoors, the following herbs will agree with you.
It can be a little tricky to grow indoor during winter. However, the African Blue variety is an excellent choice for indoor growing.
Rosemary doesn’t require rich soil and it gets overwatered very easily. Place them on the dry side of your indoor and choose upright variety like Blue Spire or Tuscan Blue for indoor growing.
Thyme is great indoor but it is recommended to place them near the windows to get six to eight hours of sun light. Turn on your kitchen light for awhile every night and your thyme will be happy.
All varieties of oregano are great to grow indoors, but Greek Oregano is the best. Just make sure it gets six to eight hours of sun light. Place them near windows are enough.
- Vietnamese Corriander
Actually all corianders are good to grow indoor. However, this variety is particularly very reliable and hearty that makes it a perfect choice for indoor grower.
Parsley doesn’t need to be maintained a lot, and it doesn’t need a lot of light either. Just make sure not to make initial clippings as this herb is actually a slow grower.
Peppermint is the best option when it comes to indoor growing. In addition to it, start with seedling not leaves or root and provide a small access to light at least.
This herb is prolific when it comes to production and it doesn’t need a lot of light as well. Make sure to cut only one-third of the plant from the top to stimulate further growing.
Technically, you don’t grow it as it doesn’t even need soil. Get the plants with a lot of stems with intact base. Simply trim its top and put it into water. You’re good to go.
Cilantro is actually short lived naturally. It is recommended to start seedling every two or three weeks to keep you supplied with this herb.
There are more than enough herbs options to grow even for indoor gardener. Those herbs above will enlighten your indoor while being helpful at the same time. Start with small amount and you will love it.
